By modelling evidence-informed strategies, teachers refine their practice to make improvements where needed. Through observation, modelling and personalised feedback, teachers build their literacy capacity, strengthen their instructional practices, and ensure student success.

  • Complimentary welcome introductory session to establish rapport and identify clarity

  • 1:1 in-class support with observation and modelling sessions

  • Personalised feedback and literacy resources tailored to teacher and/or student needs

  • Ongoing support between sessions

Term Taster
Introductory Coaching Cycle

For: Schools ready to take the first step toward literacy success through instructional literacy coaching.

 

The Term Taster offers a 4-week introductory opportunity to instructional literacy coaching, designed for teachers to engage with practical, evidence-informed literacy strategies. Teachers are supported through actionable approaches to reflect on and refine their literacy instruction and improve their instructional practices.

 

This experience provides teachers with immediate, practical tools to improve their literacy practice and drive student success, establishing a solid foundation for ongoing development.

What's involved:

  • Complimentary Welcome Strategy Session to establish rapport and identify clarity 

  • 12 months of group and 1:1 literacy coaching 

  • Fortnightly coaching cycles*, including observations, modelling and targeted goal setting

  • Facilitating and/or attending Literacy/English collaborative planning sessions

  • Personalised feedback, tailored teacher/student resources

  • Virtual support between sessions

  • Termly leadership check-ins and reflections 

  • School access to the Navigating Novel Studies Online Course

  • Complimentary Closing Strategy Session to establish next steps for lasting, sustainable support

Through this tailored and personalised coaching journey, teachers have the opportunity to reflect on and review their instructional practices, enhance their literacy instruction and increase student outcomes by working through numerous coaching cycles. 

What's Involved:
 

  • Complimentary Welcome Strategy Session to establish rapport and identify clarity 

  • 12 months of group and 1:1 literacy coaching
